I’m Alison (or just AJ to my friends). I am a creative and curious graphic designer & illustrator, originally from South Ayrshire in Scotland and currently based in Manchester, England.

Although projects can vary drastically in tone and subject matter, I strive to bring polished, considered layouts and artwork to all my clients. I’m a firm believer that good design is for everyone, and my favourite opportunities are where my ideas reach an audience that might not previously have considered design to be important.

My strengths lie mostly in publication, digital design and illustration, but I’ve worked on projects from bookbinding to UI/UX, and enjoyed the challenge every time. I love picking up new skills whenever I can, and am great at hitting deadlines with tight turnarounds.

I’m happy to work on my own, but I prefer working collaboratively in a team – there’s something magical about the process of bouncing ideas off each other, figuring out an ideal game plan before reeling it back into the realm of the possible. I pride myself on being easy to work with, but am confident enough to champion a good idea if I think it’s worth it.
