I was commissioned to create graphics for installation into Lugar Parish Church, located in the countryside of East Ayrshire.
The church had recently had a glass wall installed to separate the space into a cafe and education centre, as well as a place of worship. UK building regulations require safety manifestation markings to make glass doors and partitions more visible.
The building was originally constructed as an engine shed for the trains that went down the local mines, and they wanted the manifestation vinyls on the glass to reflect that history. We settled on a design featurning a pug locomotie and mineral wagons, flanked by two miner’s lamps.
